ALBCOLD in cooperation with Construction Archive Center has published the book entitled “Main Dams in Albania”

The book provides a summary of information about the 22 main dams in Albania that are used for hydropower production, irrigation, water supply, fishing, and water transport.

The presented information provides the main technical data of these dams and the watersheds created by them, information on the monitoring systems that have been installed in some of the dams, photos of the dams today, drawings and schemes of the dam body and main structures of them (Spillway systems and intake systems) as well as photos from the construction phases of some of these dams.

The book is also equipped with the respective annexes where the Register and the map of the location of 351 large dams in Albania, the map of the location of dams for water energy production, and the map of the location of very large dams with a height of over 60 m are given.
